1. Why is it important to know something about the author of the story before you begin reading it? What does it do? What does it help you understand?

I think its important to know previous information about the author so you can know the previous books they have wrote or the authors history one what type of books the author has written before. It helps me know the authors backrounds and what type of writer the author is.It helps me understand a lot about the author in things like the category of books the author writes!

She was a novelist folkorist and authropoligist. She was the authority. SHe was first noticed for her short stories like john redding. her first book jonas gourd Vine was published in 1934 also in 1935 the book Mules and men also got her noticed! Her greatest Novel considered to be written was Their Eyes Watching God.
